Robert Barr, 82, of Granger, passed away Friday July2, 2016 at Center for Hospice in Elkhart. Robert was born June 28, 1934 in Ottawa, IL to Elmer and Bertha (Juergenson) Barr. Robert served in the US Army and in 1963 he married Rebecca Rogers (Barr). He retired from Precision Piece Parts. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and of Knollwood Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, model building and woodworking, sports-particularly baseball, and being outdoors. Robert loved his family and his children and grandchildren were a priority in his life. Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rebecca; his children, Brian (Kelly) Barr of Elkhart, and Sara (Jason) Simmons of Noblesville; his grandchildren, Courtney Barr, Samantha Barr, Brady Simmons, Megan Simmons, Ashley Simmons, Connor Simmons; and his sister, Ellen Baldwin of North Reddington, FL. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 11 AM in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
