Robert L. Shaw, 69 of Elkhart died Sunday November 3, 2013 at home. The Lock Haven PA native was born July 12, 1944 to James E. & Thelma P. (Shade) Shaw. Bob served in the US Navy and attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He had retired from Atlas Tool & Die and later worked at Marback Industries. He was an entrepreneur, having owned an auctioneering company, a mobile home repair shop, several gas stations and was also a truck driver ("Shanty Shaker"). Bob enjoyed playing golf, fishing, working in his yard and following NASCAR. Bob was known for his willingness to always lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Shaw II; daughter, Faith Marie Shaw; grandchildren, Tony Lester Shaw and Toby Michael Shaw and his siters, Mary Ella Winter & Pearl Shaw. Bob is survived by his mother, Thelma P. Shaw of Elkhart; daughters, Leslie (Rodney) Pletcher of Goshen, Dawn Shaw of Vincent, AL, Lisa (Timothy) Davis of Williamsport; sister, Linda Betzler of Granger, brothers, Earl (Vicky) Shaw of Elkhart, James E. "Jamie" Shaw III of Elkhart; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral Services 2:00 Friday, November 8, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy with calling one hour prior to services. Calling also 4-8pm Thursday in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorial is the American Heart Association.
