Robert Wayne Leas, 78, of Elkhart, entered into eternal rest on November 17, 2021. He was born on March 30, 1943 in San Diego, CA to the late Woodrow Leas and Fanita Pickett. Robert loved being out in his garden and owned his own company called Leasure Lawns. His customers meant the world to him. Robert enjoyed boating so much that he even built his own canoe. He would often take the grandsons out for a boat ride. He spent 50 plus years in California and recently transplanted to Elkhart.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter, Amelia Brooke.

He is survived by his wife, Reita Kay Leas; children, Pieter (Dawn) Leas, Steve (Rezaira) Leas, and Jenah (Chris) Thorp; sisters, Ruth and May; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561. A private burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery on a later date. Services have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
