Obituary

Robert Lee McCrum September 16,1934 - March 20, 2021 MISHAWAKA, -passed away at 2:55pm at his residence.  Robert was the son of the late Earl and Pauline (Kraus) McCrum of Mishawaka.  On August 19, 1954 he married the late Greta P. (Nichols) McCrum of Griffithville, AR.  In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his son Rocky McCrum and his bother James (Pat) McCrum all of Mishawaka. He is survived by his son Rick (Denita) McCrum of Mishawaka, and several nieces and nephews.  Robert and Greta lived in Anderson, IN for 30 years before moving back to Mishawaka, IN in 1998.  He was a loving husband and father. He worked for Delco Remy in Anderson, INfor over 30 years.  Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA.  He enjoyed spending time with family and building scale models and model train set.  He liked reading and watching old western stories, especially John Wayne. Also, loved fishing on his bass boat.  Services will be Saturday March 27, 12PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561. Friends may visit from 10AM to 12PM. Burial will  follow in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens with Military Honors.  Pastor Andy Lauer of First Church of the Nazarene to preside.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Roberts' memory to the WoundedWarriorsProject http://woundedwarriorproject.org/ or St. Jude Childrens Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ .  Chapel Hill is honored to care for the McCrum family.
