Robert L. Powell, Jr., age 78, of Mishawaka passed away on December 16, 2017 at 6:40 AM at home. He was born September 10, 1939 to Robert L., Sr. and Lillian (Tackett) Powell in Monarch, West Virginia. On January 26, 1973, Robert married Ruth Chambers. She survives. Robert worked in manufacturing for many years. Robert was a graduate of Concord High School. He enjoyed fishing, his cats, and watching Doug Church-an Elvis Impersonator- perform. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth; his sons, Daniel (Lori) Powell of Phoenix, AZ; stepsons, John (Marsha) Bergeron of Simi Valley, CA and Bruce (Kim) Bergeron of South Bend, IN; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his brothers, James Powell and Ronald (Patty) Powell. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Powell; and two sisters, Lahoma Powell and Nancy Powell. No services are planned at this time.
