Robert L. Watts, age 83 of Mishawaka, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Mishawaka. Robert was born May 18, 1929 to the late Ernest and Ethel "Dolly" (Walters) Watts.
Surviving are his children, Christopher Watts, Debra Brown, and Robin Hessner, all of Florida, and Roger Watts of Maine. Also surviving are his step-children Karen Dunn of Florida and Terri Briner of Elkhart. Also surviving is his sister, Evelyn L. Brown of Mishawaka, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Watts.
Friends may call from 2-4 pm Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. There will be Military Honors and a gathering from 5-7 pm at the American Legion Post #308 in Osceola.
Robert was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #308 in Mishawaka, where he served as groundskeeper, maintenance man, and in the color guard.
