Roberta A. Tucker, 72, of Elkhart, passed away at 4:25 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2012 in her home surrounded by family. Roberta was born on September 8, 1939 in LaPorte, IN, the daughter of Roscoe G. and Julia J. (Williams) Ales. On March 19, 1966, she married Preston C. Tucker. He passed away on September 5, 2009.
She is survived by seven children; Russell (Mona) Tucker of Amsted, WV, Lunda (Sandy) Tucker of Elkhart, Cecil (Gloria) Tucker of Elkhart, Robert Tucker of Cleveland, OH, Carol (Jim) Hickok of Cleveland, OH, Richard (Sheila) Tucker of Elkhart, and Gena Crowley of Elkhart, and foster child, Steven (Denise) Obert of Middlebury. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren, 109 great grandchildren and 41 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nine children, J.R., James Charles, Wanda Joyce, Linda Kay, David John, Gary Allen, William Herbert, Brenda Anne St. Clair, and Darrell Gene.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with services to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
