Roger E. Keller, 71, died Saturday April 6, 2013 in Elkhart. The South Bend native was born December 5, 1941 to Joseph and Marjorie (Ford) Keller. He was a US Army veteran. Roger retired from Layne Northern after 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice "Lotte" Keller on September 7, 2011. Survivors include his daughter and son-in law, Ibi & Aaron Newman of Osceola; grandchildren, Mitchell & Connor Newman, Michelle Mencias & Erika Brogdon; his mother, Marjorie Jones of South Bend and his sister, Pamela Jones. "The family wishes to extend special thanks to A.J. & Diane Rangel, Shirley Martenson, Mary & Larry Jester and Tom Whipkey, for their friendship and support." There are no services at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. The family will host a Celebration of Life memorial at a later date.
