Ronald L. Hoover, age 81, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away at his residence on Friday, April 22, 2011 of natural causes. Ronald was born August 11, 1929 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Lee B. and Bernice (Kilbey) Hoover. He was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. On October 27, 1951, Ron married Alice Kelley in Mishawaka.
Alice survives, along with three children, Ryan L. Hoover of Burlington, Indiana, Randy L. (Sherri) Hoover of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Ross L. (Heather) Hoover of Osceola, Indiana. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Micah (Elizabeth) Hoover and Megan (John) Franks, both of Maui, Hawaii, Lauren, Garret, Alex and Eric Hoover, all of Indiana, and 4 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Raegen, Lexie, and Ethan, all of Maui, Hawaii. Ronald is also survived by his sister, Marceline (Jim) Lovelace of Mishawaka, Indiana.
Cremation will take place, and funeral services will be private. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana is handling arrangements.
Ron was employed for over 30 years at Bender Mold and Machine before his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking, and was a past president and member of the Spray Riders waterskiing club in Mishawaka. He was also a longtime member of the Grace Brethren Church in Mishawaka.
