Obituary

Ronald (Ron) D. Clark, age 72, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Born on April 12, 1954, Ron was the son of the late Kenneth and Gleo Clark. He grew up in North Liberty, Indiana, on a rural family farm. Growing up, Ron helped care for the family's livestock, and for years he would faithfully return in the summer to help his parents bale hay alongside his brothers, nieces, and nephews. He also shared a special bond with his mother, planting a garden with her for many years, a deep love of gardening that he would later pass down to his own children.

As a boy, Ron was known to frequently sneak back to his family’s pond to miss his chores, spending hours fishing and catching frogs and turtles. Though it often got him into trouble with his parents, the pond remained a special, peaceful place for him, and he loved sharing the stories of his spirited childhood adventures with his kids.

Ron was a man of integrity, strong work ethic, and quiet strength. He dedicated over 35 years of his life to a career in the RV industry, working for Journey Motor Home, Holiday Rambler, and Forest River.

Outside of work, Ron was a passionate, true craftsman who loved woodworking. He was always building something meaningful for the people he loved, whether it was crafting toy boxes for his grandsons, Isaiah and Peyton, or constructing multiple projects around the home that he built together with his wife, Barb.

Ron was also known as a fierce competitor when playing any type of game, especially during Sunday card games with his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on puzzles, attending concerts, listening to country music, and celebrating the Christmas season. His greatest joy, however, was his family.

Ron is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 25 years, Barb Clark (Walters); his children, Pamela (Benjamin) James, Ronald A. (Heather) Clark, Scott Haigh, and Michael (Tiffany) Haigh; his cherished grandchildren, Tyler (Daniela) Haigh, Sarah (Shawn) Pharis, Isaiah Clark, Callan Clark, Peyton James, and Evan James; his brother, Dennis (Linda) Clark; his sisters-in-law, Sue Clark and Ruth Clark; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Albert (Carol) Clark, Larry Clark, Rudy Clark, and Charles Clark.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Lakeville Community Center, 214 W Patterson St, Lakeville, IN 46536, from 1pm to 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Ron’s honor to support the wonderful caregivers at the Center for Hospice Care. Contributions can be made online at cfhcare.org or mailed to: Hospice Foundation 501 Comfort Place Mishawaka, IN 46545.
