Ronnie "Dale" Holland
April 05,1954 - June 08, 2024
Dale Holland, a beloved friend, storyteller, and outdoor enthusiast, passed away on June 8th, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones. His remarkable journey through life was marked by resilience, adventure, and an unwavering faith in his savior, Jesus Christ.
Ronnie Dale Holland was born on April 5, 1954 to Jessie and Romie Holland. He married Cheryl (Briggs) Holland on April 5, 1975. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tommy Holland. Surviving are his wife, Cheryl, three sisters, Jeanie, Barb, and Becky, as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
In 1992, Dale moved to Colorado, where he embraced his love for skiing and riding motorcycles, often embarking on cross-country adventures. His passion for the mountains and his faith led him to Copper Mountain Community Church, where he took over the weekly service, creating a sanctuary atop the peaks he so cherished.
Dale's love for family drew him back home in the fall of 2021, where he continued to share his infectious laughter and positive outlook with everyone he met. A natural storyteller, Dale had a unique ability to make everyone laugh, brightening the lives of those around him.
His love for cooking was another way he expressed his care for others. Dale was known for baking dozens of chocolate chip cookies for ski lift operators, preparing breakfast burritos for his church, and crafting homemade pizzas on the grill for family gatherings.
Dale's faith and love for Jesus Christ were evident in every aspect of his life. He was an active member of New Life Church, where his devotion and compassion inspired many.
Dale's life took a dramatic turn as a teenager when he was treated in the burn unit at Riley Hospital for Children. The exceptional care he received there not only saved his life but also left an indelible mark on his life. Riley Hospital remained a cause close to his heart.
Dale Holland's legacy is one of joy, generosity, and faith. He was a friend to everyone, with a heart full of love and a spirit that will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held at New Life Church on Thursday, June 20th from 9:00-11:00 am with a memorial service to follow along with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka. Chapel Hill Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale's memory can be made to Riley Hospital for Children or New Life Church.
