Rosalie Ellen Landis, age 77, of South Bend, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend following a brief illness. Rosalie was born September 5, 1932 to the late James and Hazel (Adams) Jones.
Surviving are her children, Roger Jarrett of Lafayette, Indiana, Sandy Lumb of Ft. Worth, Texas, Diana Hollenbeck of Lafayette, Indiana, Matthew Landis of Kokomo, Indiana, Mark Landis of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Leila Edmondson of Menifee, California. Also surviving is a sister, Elva Conard of South Bend, 22 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Clifford, Harold, Roy and Jerry Jones, as well as her sisters, Inez, Vivian, Mildred and Virginia.
There will be one hour of calling prior to the 11:00 am Memorial Service on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Indiana.
Rosalie was employed by Meridian Hills Country Club for many years, and in her spare time enjoyed playing cards and BINGO. Rosalie also enjoyed flowers and gardening, as well as fishing and doing needlework.
