RoseAnn Seymore, 70, of Elkhart passed away at 10:00 pm, Friday,
August 15, 2014 in Greenleaf Health Campus, Elkhart, after a brief illness. RoseAnn was born on December 7, 1943, in San Angelo, TX, the daughter of the late Amos and Freda (Yoder) Whetstone. On August 5, 1972, she married Rick Seymore. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Rick; brother Donald (Nancy) Whetstone of Elkhart; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carol Ward. RoseAnn graduated from Middlebury High School, class of 1962. She received an Associate Degree in Business from the International Business College of Ft. Wayne. In 1963, she started her career in banking at the First State Bank of Middlebury. She worked there until her retirement in 1996. During her career, she achieved the title of Vice President in charge of bookkeeping and data processing. She was a member of St. Paul''s United Methodist Church, Elkhart, American Banking Association, Indiana Bankers and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She loved her dog, George and her cats Pumpkin and Booger. She enjoyed her corvettes, cooking, colleting angels, and hallmark Christmas ornaments. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 21, 2014 in St. Paul''s United Methodist Church, 405 W. Beardsley Avenue, Elkhart with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial be made to the Elkhart Church Community Services or to the Hospice Foundation.
