ELKHART - Russell 84 passed away Tuesday morning at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Elkhart. Russell was born in Peru IN. to Roscoe and Erma(Mullett) Hartman. Russell served in the U.S. Army in his younger years. He had been a machine operator for Nipco corp. for over twenty years. Russell liked to fish and hunt he had a cabin in the Orland IN. area. Russell was known as quite the fix-it man he could work on anything from lawnmowers to farm tractors and was also quite good at it. Russell was preceded in death by his parents but surviving are his sons Russell L. Hartman and Steve(Peggy)Hartman and six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A gathering of friends and family will be Friday May 29, 2015 from 10:00am-11:00am at Chapel Hill Funeral Home 10776 McKinley Highway Osceola IN.46561 with a graveside service to immediately to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
