Ruth House, 74, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully at 10:15 pm, Friday, December 6, 2013 in Kindred Nursing and Rehab-Valley View. Ruth was born on April 30, 1939, the daughter of King and Areedia (Young) Dancler. On November 16, 1958, she married Robert House, Sr.. He passed away on April 3, 2008. Ruth is survived by eight sons, David (Janie) House of Chicago, Elbert (Sally) House of Elkhart, Dewayne House, James (Wanda) House both of Elkhart, Robert (Francine) House, Jr. of Mishawaka, Warren (Patricia) House, Shawn (Rose) House and Paul (Tamara) House all of Elkhart, as well as, 22 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Jane Bobo of Benton Harbor, MI, and Jessie Mae Wilson of Hayti, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Bridget Marie House four brothers and two sisters. Ruth will be remembered for her love of cooking, sewing, traveling, and sharing her faith with others. Her passion was selling Park Lane Jewelry and spending time with family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the South Kingdom Hall of Jehovah''s Witnesses, 25448 C.R. 22, Elkhart, where she was a member. Elder Andrew Thomas will officiate, with burial at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola is handling arrangements.
