Ruth was the church secretary for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church where her parents were longtime, active members. After Ruth's husband Leonard died unexpectedly in 1969, Ruth went to work at The Selmer Company where she became a supervisor until her retirement. Through the years, Ruth has touched more lives than any of us could ever imagine. Not because of the years, but because of her giving heart and soul. Most important to Ruth was family, faith, and friends. Friends often became her family. She was adored and respected, and accepted people of many different beliefs, and her capacity for grace seemed inexhaustible. Her life was long, her love ran deep and her faith was her guide until the very end. Her mantra and constant reminder to those close to her was, unsurprisingly, "you can always find something good in everyone." May Ruth's memory be a blessing.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at High Dive Pavilion, 500 East Beardsley Avenue, Elkhart, Indiana 46514.
