Ruth Myrtle Reed, 86, of Cassopolis, Michigan, passed away December 2, 2010 at Lakeland Hospital in Niles, Michigan. Ruth was born September 5, 1924 in Elkhart, Indiana. Survivors include her children; Barbara McKowen in Florida, Delores (Richard) Minisee of Cassopolis, Michigan, Deborah Sobczak in California, and Devon (Judy) Mikel of Vancouver, Washington. Also surviving are her sister, Esther Mead in Michigan and several grandchildren, great grandchildren & great-great grandchildren. Ruth was preceeded in death by her husband, John Reed in 1998 and also by her son, Daniel Mikel; her daughter, Denise Mikel Sandusky and her sister, June Reed. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 2:00pm funeral service on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway. Entombment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
