Ryan P. Carter, 26, of Mishawaka passed away unexpectedly Sunday July 27, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Kaley D. (Mahler) Carter of Mishawaka; his children, Ayden, Addysen and Avery Carter; parents, Patrick R. Carter of South Bend and Debra L. Sowala-Barbour of Osceola; grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Sowala of Osceola and Dennis and Marie Carter of Mishawaka; and his brothers, James J. Stremme of Elkhart, Jason S. (Jamie) Stremme in Kentucky, Jeremy M. Stremme of Mishawaka and Justin L. Stremme of South Bend. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends but he had a special bond with his cousin Kipp Sowala and best friend Andrew Brinker. Ryan was preceded in death by his uncle, Rodney Sowala and grandparents Bill and Abbie Doty. He was employed as a truck driver for M&S Management at Steel Warehouse. Ryan was a member of the Teamsters Local #364 and served in the National Guard, 1538th Transportation Unit out of Elkhart. Ryan was a wonderful husband, father, son and friend. He was loyal and dedicated to his family and loved spending time with his children. He enjoyed cooking and grilling out for his family and friends. He was an avid car, truck and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed anything that went fast. He always brightened the room and loved to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Services are at 2:00pm Friday August 1, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN.
