Sadie Ponce Bermea, 57, of Goshen, passed away Saturday November 4, 2017 at Goshen General Hospital. The Angleton Texas native was born July 1, 1960 to Pete & Lena (Ponce) Flores. Sadie earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Goshen College and was a therapeutic foster parent for ten years. She worked at ADEC, Oaklawn for 15 years and prior to her illness was employed by Great Lakes Caring of Kokomo, IN. In addition to her parents, Sadie was also preceded in death by her sister, Gloria J. Dunkin. She is survived by her husband, Steve G. Bermea; sons, Rubin Rubio & Bryan (Jenna) Rubio, both of Goshen, Shawn Bermea of Indianapolis and Steve G. (Sunny) Bermea of Elkhart; daughters, Anastasia Bermea and Destiny Bermea, both of Goshen, Stephanie (Bermea) Hernandez of Edna TX and Laura (Bermea) (Clarence Jr.) Studt of Elkhart; sisters, Betty Salazar of Brazoria TX, Jeannie (Andrew) Kropp of Stevensville MI and Mary McClendon, Erlinda Pollock, Elizabeth (Henry) Cruz, Sandra Flores and Robbie Caldwell, all of Elkhart; brothers, Jim P. Flores, Joe P. (Carol) Flores and John P. (Margo) Flores, all of Elkhart; 25 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Pastor Mark Johnson will officiate Funeral Services at 7:00pm Wednesday November 8, 2017 at Life Tabernacle Church, 1135 Middlebury St, Elkhart, where friends may call prior to services, from 5-7pm.
