Saeed Sy Siade, 94, entered into eternal rest on January 9, 2022. He was born on October 21, 1927 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Romise and Albert Siade. Saeed never missed a Chicago Cubs or Chicago Bears game. He was able to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series and the Chicago Bears win a Superbowl in his lifetime. Saeed served on the USS Missouri "The Mighty Moe" and was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was present during the signing of the Japanese Treaty.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Reaffa Miller, Weddad Horvath, Moniefa Wadsworth, Minnie Wayatt, Theweah Hartig; and brothers, Eddy and Shkeep Siade.

Saeed is survived by children, Dwaine (Wanda) Siade and Dawn (Jim) Christie; sister, Marian Slabaugh; brothers, Neaman, Allie, Joseph, and Ralph Siade; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with Military Honors and the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561. A Private Entombment will follow the services in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
