Sally J. Shell, 66, of Elkhart passed away at 1:51 pm, Friday, November 20, 2009 in Rivercrest Specialty Hospital, Elkhart. Sally was born on September 25, 1943 in Chicago to Alfred and Mary P. (Toft) Rasmussen. On August 24, 1985, she married Foster Shell.
She is survived by her husband, Foster of Elkhart; three children, Quinn Ayers of Appleton, WI, Brian Ayers of Hiram, OH and Susan Ayers of Douglas, MA; three step children, Sherry (Ken) Birdman of Elkhart, Kimberly (Joe) Barony of Elkhart and Danny Shell of Syracuse, IN. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Quinn Toft and brother, Richard Rasmussen.
Sally was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Women of the Moose, Elkhart.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 25, 2009 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with visitation one hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow. Rev. Richard Klahr will officiate.
