Sandra Sue Borsodi, of Mishawaka, passed away on Saturday November 5, 2022 at home. She was born on June 3, 1944 in St. Joseph County to Frederick and Dorothy (Knoblock) Schroeder. She married her soulmate and husband of 60 years on October 13, 1962.
Left to cherish Sandra's memory are her husband, Timothy Borsodi Sr.
Her children: Timothy (Yvonne) Borsodi, Jr., Michele Borsodi-Gross and Todd (Judy) Borsodi; her grandchildren:Tanner (Christy) Borsodi, Travis (Jackie) Miller, Mitch (Maggie) Miller, Chad Miller, Haley (Jon) Borsodi-Wells, Chelsea (Eric) Kelver, Brody Gross, Ashley Barrier, Alicia Lazo, Austin Lazo, Adam (Ray) Lazo, Timmy (Jordan) Borsodi and Dylan Borsodi; as well as 22 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie ( Ken) Smessaert. Her brother in laws Nick (Kathy) Borsodi, Ray Lamphier and sister in law Barb Borsodi. Along with various nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Andrew and Alex Lazo; her parents, Frederick and Dorothy Schroeder; her husband's parents, Nicholas and Irene Borsodi and a sister, Carol Lamphier.
Sandra graduated from Mishawaka High School. She was a Travel Agent for many years . Sandy and Tim created many cherishing memories while traveling the world. She was a member of the PT Cruiser Club of Elkhart. She enjoyed scrapbooking, especially cookbooks to pass on the family recipes. Sandra liked fishing , camping. She enjoyed playing Frampton, her guitar, with her Sinco Lady's and for the family around campfires.
Grandma always said , "her children and grandchildren were the light of her life." Sandy was a woman with many names , Boo boo, Mom, Mama, Meme, Grandma and Great Grandma . She has touched very many hearts in her life and was known for her kindness and willingness to help.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
