Seth L. Kniffin, 90, of Elkhart, died Friday, September 28, 2018. The Canton PA native was born June 13, 1928 to (the late) Lloyd & Esther (Huber) Kniffin.  Seth was a veteran of the US Air Force and on May 4, 1962, he married Billie Ray (Kniffin) in Elkhart. He retired from Miles Laboratories and was a member of Osceola United Methodist Church, where he was a retired member of the choir and the Promise Keepers Men's Group. Seth enjoyed fishing, ice skating and playing the trumpet, which he played in the Air Force Band, as well as his role as Santa Claus for numerous schools and family & friends.   Seth was preceded in death by his parents and also by siblings, Edna Kniffin and Nelson Kniffin. He is survived by Billie R. Kniffin, his wife of 56 years; their children, Cindy (Ed) Foy and Christopher, both in Washington (State); Craig (Rachel Doctors) Kniffin of Springfield IL, Jacquie (Neil) Farr of Granger, Curtis (Maryann) Kniffin in Florida, Lynne Kniffin Williams of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren with number 11 due any day, as well as several nieces & nephews, including Mark Schenk of San Antonio TX, Brad Schenk of Myrtle Beach SC and Greg Schenk of Goshen. Funeral Services 11:00 Thursday October 4, 2018 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., where friends may call prior to services, from 10-11am.
