Obituary

Sherry K. Spencer, age 61, of Mishawaka, passed away August 29, 2009 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana following a brief illness. Sherry was born March 31, 1948 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Julius R. and Norma J. (Russell) Brown. On November 26, 1965, Sherry was married to Gary Spencer in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Gary survives, along with their children, John Spencer and his wife Lujean, and Katrina Doty and her husband Tom, all of Osceola. Also surviving is her mother, Norma Jean Brown, and one brother, Tom(Patria) Brown of California. Surviving as well are seven grandchildren; Derek Doty, Kamden Betzer, Kody Betzer, Emily Spencer, Andy Doty, Cassie Spencer and Hayli Doty. Sherry was preceded in death by her father.
Sherry was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially Friday night cookouts and camping. She also enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She and her husband spent their winters in Florida where she loved to fish and visit with friends. While in Florida and or home in Indiana, Sherry enjoyed riding with her husband on their motorcycle. She was a member of the Moose Rider''s Motorcycle Club, the Punta Gorda Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post #308 in Osceola.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the 11:00 am funeral service , Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens
In her memory, donations may be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
