IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherry Ann
Vaughn
July 14, 1968 – February 1, 2025
Sherry Ann Vaughn, 56, of Osceola, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 14, 1968, to Larry D. and Jaqueline (Nixon) Curtis, Sherry lived her life with an infectious smile, a joyful laugh, and an unyielding warmth that made her a beloved presence in the lives of those around her. Her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her for her kindness, generosity, and her zest for life.
Sherry was a woman of many talents and passions. She was known for her love of crafting, especially knitting, which she found both soothing and creative. Whether it was making a handmade gift for a loved one or crafting something to beautify her home, she poured her heart into everything she made. Sherry was also a dedicated gardener, taking great pride in her yardwork and the beauty she cultivated from the earth. Her connection to nature was profound, and she found peace in its simplicity, often spending hours outside tending to her plants or simply enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
In addition to her love for crafting and gardening, Sherry had a deep affection for animals, always caring for them with the same love and devotion that she showed her family. Her pets were more than just companions; they were a part of her family, and her home was always filled with the sounds of her beloved animals and the joy they brought her.
Sherry's laughter was contagious, and she was known for her friendly and open heart. She had the rare gift of making everyone feel special and valued, whether through a kind word or a genuine smile. Her family and friends often found solace and comfort in her presence, as she always knew how to brighten even the darkest of days.
Sherry's passing marks the end of a chapter, but her spirit lives on in the memories of those who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Curtis
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Vaughn, with whom she shared many happy years, her mother, Jaqueline Curtis, Her siblings, Darren O'Dell Curtis and Tamara Michelle Curtis, as well as her niece, Sara Michelle Miller, nephew, Matthew Snyder, and great-nephew, Liam Miller.
A private celebration of life is planned to honor Sherry's memory, as her family gathers to reflect on the beautiful person she was. While her physical presence may no longer be with us, Sherry's love, laughter, and unwavering kindness will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of joy and love will live on forever.
