Shirley Evelyn (Gustafson) Conley, 80, of South Bend, went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 8:30 am. Shirley was born on August 29, 1931 to John Emil and Mary (Tardif) Gustafson in Pawtucket, RI. She married Arthur A. Conley, Sr. on August 14th, 1948. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2010.

She is survived by her six sons, Arthur A.(Bev), Plymouth, Ind., Brian A (Vickie), Culver, Ind., Patrick A. (Patti), South Bend, Ind., Timothy G., Terrence G., both of San Diego, Ca ,and Francis G., South Bend, Ind. Also, by her daughter, Maureen A. (Conley) McDonnell. She has 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with 4 more precious ones due in the coming months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 State Route 933, South Bend, Indiana, at 11:00am on Friday, September 23, 2011. Rosary will be at 10:30am before the Mass. Rev. Ron Tripi will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola is handling arrangements.
