Shirley A. Davies of Elkhart passed away on Tuesday, February 4 ^th surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 13, 1939 in Trumann, Arkansas to John Wesley Nance and Clara (Campbell) Nance. She moved to Elkhart in 1959.

She and her former husband, Charles Davies, had three children Cheryl (Adam) Rassi of Elkhart, Donna (James) Kruis of Goshen and Tim (Sarah) Davies of Elkhart: 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren: one sister Doris Loggins of Missouri, all surviving.

She was preceded in death by her brother J.W. Nance of Trumann, Arkansas.

Visitation for friends and family is at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 on Friday, February 14 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Officiating is Elder Tommy Sarber, ordained Primitive Baptist minister and father-in-law of Tim Davies. Shirley was a member of the former WyndGate Baptist Church.

Shirley retired from Martin's Super Markets in 2009. She had a love for her family and friends. She enjoyed reading and gardening.  Her passion was making a home for her family. Her kind heartedness and selflessness are what she will be remembered for.
