Shirley A. Rump, 85, formally of Elkhart, Indiana passed away at her home on Thursday April 4 ^th 2019.

She was born in Burlington, Iowa on April 8, 1933 to George and Gladys Savage. She was a 1951 graduate from Burlington High School. Shirley married John Rump on June 11, 1955 and this happy union was blessed with six children, Christine, Johanna, Roger, Michael, Raymond and Thomas.  She worked for Concord Community Schools for many years as a Librarian and volunteered at St. Vincent for the basic adult education. Shirley enjoyed sewing, crafts, and spending time with family.

Shirley A. Rump is survived by six children, Chris (Jack) King of Osceola, IN, Roger (Roberta) Rump of Tucson, AZ, Mike Rump of Tucson, AZ, Ray (Patty) Rump of Jones, MI, Tom (Sue) Rump of Elkhart, IN, Johanna Simmons of Syracuse, IN; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Mace of Pleasant Hill, MO; brother, Roe Savage of Burlington, IA.

She is preceded in death by her husband; son-in-law, Donald Simmons; parents; sister, Roma (Sandy) Reaves; brother-in-law, Doyle Mace. Visitation will be held from 5pm – 8pm, Friday, April 12, 2019 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 Mckinley Hwy., Osceola, IN. Funeral services will be held at 10am, Saturday, April 13, 2019 Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
