Shirley Lee Whitten

March 31, 1951 – April 11, 2024

Shirley Lee Whitten 73, of South Bend, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, surrounded by family and loved ones close to her heart. Shirley is survived by her daughter Tori Whitten, her sons Patrick McFarland, Kenneth McFarland, Christopher Johnston, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, her brother Steven Mast, and her beloved dog Chewy.

She was preceded in death by her father Reuben Mast, stepmother Virginia Mast and cousin Peggy Schultz.

Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a kind and compassionate soul who would always help others when in need. She loved her church family and extended family as much as her own. In her spare time, she was an avid reader. She loved the outdoors, gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved the lord, fellowshipping with others and gathering with her family. She also enjoyed traveling when possible and loved all animals, big or small.

Shirley will forever be in our hearts but never forgotten. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

The family will hold a private Memorial Service. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
