ELKHART –Stacie L. Lane, 36, passed away at home in her sleep Fri. Feb. 2, 2018 after a long illness. She was born in Elkhart on July 25, 1981 to Billy J. Lane, & Donna Shepherd. Stacie received her degree in phlebotomy and also attended dental school. Stacie loved animals and especially adored her cats, Carmella, Zoey, & Mitchel. She also loved her pet bird, Babie. More than anything the light of her life was her niece, Nevaeh & nephew, Jalen. Stacie was very outspoken and honest. She enjoyed simple pleasures in life. Sunning by the pool in the summer, playing cards, fun times with her friends and family, trips to the casino, and watching the Indianapolis Colts were just some of the things that Stacie loved to do to make lasting memories.

Stacie is survived by her mother, Donna Shepherd of Elkhart; sister, Stephanie Lane of Osceola; brothers, Matthew (Danja) Schrader of Summersville, WV and Bryce Lane of Ft. Wayne, IN; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Larry Williams of Elkhart; paternal grandmother, Shirley Ann Lane of Fairfield, OH, and close friends, Troy and Karen, to whom the family would like to recognize for their kindness and help over the years. Stacie is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who she loved dearly. Ms. Lane was preceded in death by her father, Billy J. Lane.  Friends may call Monday February 5th from 4:00-8:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola.
