Stella Mae "Susie" Graeber, age 96, of South Bend, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Healthwin Specialized Care Center. Susie was born March 22, 1918 in Perrysville, Indiana to the late George A. and Flora E. (Ash) Kenyon. Susie graduated from Central High School in 1936, the same year as her marriage to Frederick Graeber. Fred preceded her in death, passing away in 1994.
Surviving are her children, Dennis Graeber of Niles, Michigan, Carol Ann (Leonard) Hill of Visalia, California, and Karen (Donald Boyett) Graeber of Fishers, Indiana. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and several great, and great-great grandchildren. Her daughter, Beverly Wright, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral service on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Susie was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She and her husband Fred bowled together, and enjoyed square dancing. In her spare time, she liked to crochet, sew, read and do crossword puzzles. She also remained active with the many friends she made as a member of Southlawn United Methodist Church in South Bend.
