Elkhart - Steven C. Thompson, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away on July 31, 2024. He was born on June 29, 1947, in Moline, Illinois, to Benton and Elaine Thompson who preceded him in death.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. Thompson (née Seidl); his brother, Joseph Thompson; his sons, Marc Thompson (married to Tracy) and Mike Thompson (married to Rebecca); and his cherished grandchildren, Ben and Emily Thompson.

Steven proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he pursued higher education at Purdue University and Indiana University, where he earned a degree in systems management with a focus in engineering.

He had a distinguished career as the Chief Manufacturing Engineer for Leggett and Platt's store fixture division, a role he held until his retirement in 2013.

Steven will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
