Sue Ann Sims, 70, of Elkhart passed away at 7:05pm Friday, December 7, 2012 at Golden Living Center of Elkhart after a courageous battle with cancer. Sue was born on November 26, 1942 in Michigan to Russell Eugene and Mary Ellen (Adams) Sodeman.
She is survived by three children, Steven Witwer, Laura (Troy) Wagner, and Matthew (Jennifer) Sims, all of Elkhart, three granddaughters, Amanda Peffley, Stephanie Anderson, and Nikki Witwer, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Nancy (James) Watson of Bristol and Sandra Hively of Niles, one brother, Jack Sodeman of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Sims, who passed away on January 23, 2009, her parents, two brothers, Terry and Tim Sodeman, and a brother-in-law, Leslie Hively.
Sue worked for Coachman for many years before her retirement. She will be remembered for her love of her family, long walks outdoors with friends, and riding motorcycles.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Chapel Hill is handling arrangements. Pastor Nancy Warren will officiate.
