Tamikia D Cornwell, 44, of Elkhart, passed away at 1:39 am, Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Elkhart General Hospital. Tamikia was born on December 6, 1965 in South Bend to the late Tommie and Bonnie (Hamm) Brubaker. On September 8, 1984, she married Russell J. Cornwell.
She is survived by two sons, Russell (Stephanie) Cornwell, Jr. and Troy (Deangela) Cornwell, both of Elkhart; five grandchildren, Alex, Calvyn, Rylee, Zoey, and Shayle and two sisters, Jay (Sidney) Lowe and Dusty (Arthur) Poarch, both of Elkhart. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Russell, who passed away February 24, 2010 and grandson, Zachary Cornwell, who passed on November 11, 2008.
She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a beautiful green eyed angel who cared for everyone
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, is handling arrangements.
