Tammy Marie Scott, beloved wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024, in South Bend, IN, at the age of 61.

Tammy was born on July 5, 1963, in South Bend to Clifford and Joy Griggs of Decatur, Michigan. She shared a special bond with her twin brother, Tim, who resides in South Bend. Growing up on their Michigan farm, Tammy often referred to it as their "little house on the Decatur prairie." The farm life filled her childhood with cherished memories of horses, collies, cows, fresh vegetables, and the great outdoors. She treasured the moments spent baking cobblers with her mother, feeding horses with her father, and fishing with Tim along the Dowagiac Creek.

Tammy worked as an electronic circuit board assembler at Bercliff Industries in Mishawaka and attended Southwestern Michigan College. Her passions included poetry, collage art, collecting old movie magazines, and LP records. She especially loved the classic movie It's a Wonderful Life starring Jimmy Stewart, a holiday tradition she enjoyed every Christmas, laughing and crying while sipping hot tea.

A kind and charitable soul, Tammy was always willing to lend a helping hand to both people and animals in need. Her compassion and generosity touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.

Tammy's husband of 40 years, Randy, lovingly shared that he considered himself incredibly lucky to call Tammy the true love of his life.

In accordance with Tammy's wishes, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Pet Refuge of South Bend , 4626 S Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.
