Tawney I.E. Miller, age 70 of Goshen, passed away June 11, 2012 in her home. Mrs. Miller was born October 27, 1941 in Timmins, Ontario Canada to the late Roy and Rita (Hummel) Markle. On October 15, 1982, she married Roy Miller in Elkhart, Indiana.
Her husband Roy survives. Also surviving are her sons, Ken (Cindy) Cook of Agoura Hills, CA. and Brad Cook of Santa Cruz, CA. Also surviving are her step children D. Scott (Julie) Miller of Ocala, FL, Mitchell (Rose) Miller of Goshen, IN, and Melani (Tim) Redding of Bristol, IN. Surviving as well is her brother Jim (Vickie) Markle of Elkhart and 3 grandchildren, Forrest, Elizabeth, and Kailey Cook. She was preceded in death by her brothers Bob and Gary Markle.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 2:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola.
Tawney received her Bachelors of Business and MBA from Indiana University, and was employed by Miles (Bayer Corp.) Laboratories for almost 25 years. She enjoyed collecting miniatures, quilting, reading and playing the violin. She and Roy loved to travel, and they spent their winters in Florida for many years. While in Florida, Tawney was the former Chairman of the Finance committee for their homeowners association until her recent retirement. She led an all women''s dance group named the JUGS ("Just Us Gals") while living in Florida. Her love for life and great sense of humor was known to all her friends and family.
