Theodore E. Shearer, 67, of Elkhart, died Wednesday October 3, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. Ted was born in Toledo, OH on March 12, 1945 to John Lorenzo and Pauline Naomia (Signs) Shearer, who both preceded him in death. Ted served in the US Army in the Vietnam Era. He was retired and had worked for many years at Nickels Bakery as well as working in the area as a welder. Ted loved being around people. He was the President of the Rosedale Association and was also the Activities Director. In addition to his parents, Ted was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack & Edward Shearer. He is survived by his daughter, Laurie L. (Jeremy) Montgomery of Elkhart; son, Mikel D. (Sara A. Youngblood) Shearer of Elkhart; sister, Ebblen Naomia (Hensley) Dickey of Buckyrus, OH; his grandchildren, Jade, Damien & Mia Montgomery; Evan Lael & Kimberly Louise Shearer and his former wife, Juanita Shearer-Michon of Elkhart.
