February 5, 1950 – August 8, 2022
Timothy G. Clark, 72, of Mishawaka, passed away on August 8, 2022. He was born on Feb. 5, 1950 in Elkhart to Glenn and Mary (Stoner) Clark. He married Peggy Smith on October 28, 1994.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; his children: Melissa White, Todd (Krystal) Clark, Carrie (Jon) Mumaw and Kevin (Ashley) Smith; grandchildren: Danielle White; Peyton, Hallie, Kinslee, Karlee, and Kallee Clark; Collin and Chase Mumaw; Trevor Tener; Kylee and Cameron Smith. Two sisters also survive: Carol Brown and Cathy Zahner.
Timothy was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Clark; a brother-in-law, Larry Brown; and a son-in-law, Don White.
Tim spent 37 years in the PHM School System as a PE teacher and coach. He started at Kennedy and Elsie Rogers Elementary Schools, but spent most of his teaching career at Bittersweet Elementary School. He loved his students and was compassionately invested in their lives. Tim never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met. He would talk to anyone and share his stories and Civil War knowledge with anyone who would listen.
Tim was an amazing athlete, having excelled in basketball, track, tennis and volleyball, but fishing was his passion, and he loved his time at the river. His life revolved around his children and grandchildren, who he cherished above all else.
Tim faced many health challenges in his life and fought to overcome these battles with a positive attitude that inspired others.
