Timothy James Ginter, 42, of West Lafayette and formerly of Elkhart, died Monday, August 17, 2020 at IU Health-Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.  Tim was born in Elkhart July 30, 1978, the son of James M. Ginter and Cynthia (Hochstetler) Ginter Nichols. He attended Purdue University where he studied electrical engineering. Tim was employed as the manager of Ace Hardware in West Lafayette and enjoyed the time spent with family & friends, and caring for his pets. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Thomas Wiegand.  Tim is survived by his mother & step-father, Cindy & Ken Nichols of Granger; his father, James Ginter of Elkhart; sister, Pamela J. (Brian) Burris of Mishawaka; niece, Gabrielle Burris and nephew, Michael Burris, both of Mishawaka and his step-brothers, Keith Nichols, Eric Nichols & Darren Nichols. Funeral Services 10:00 Thursday August 20, 2020 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Visitation is Thursday from 9-10am in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
