Tina "Mawmaw" Marie (Vires) Thompson, of Mishawaka Indiana, passed away unexpectedly in her home on March 28th, 2023. She was 56 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by her sudden death. Tina was born on June 12 ^th , 1966 in Plymouth, Indiana to Haroldene Vires and Faith Hunsberger.

Tina has been a loved and respected realtor since 2007. She has helped many families find their dream homes. Prior to being a realtor, Tina cared for her children at home. She would talk about how sometimes money was tight, but that she made it work. Tina has been heard saying "We might not have had money, but we never went without."

Tina was the most kind-hearted person. She never turned away anyone. She was a mom, sister, daughter and Mawmaw to so many people. It didn't matter if you were related or not, she always had a hot meal and big hug ready when you got to her house. She had an amazing sense of humor and knew how to laugh at life when it got tough.

Tina loved the color Coral. Tina loved music and would always have it playing while working around the house. She loved any kind of sweet treat and was always up for a Dairy Queen run. Tina loved to pamper herself with massages and pedicures. Tina loved the sunshine. She and Dewey took many vacations to Florida and Hawaii. Those were her happy places.

The only thing that made her happier than sunshine, was her family. Mawmaw never passed up an opportunity to love on and support her family. She was the backbone of her family.  During the holidays, she always made sure that the family got together, had an amazing meal, and made lots of memories. Some of Tina's favorite memories would be when the family gathered around the pool in the summer. She was able to enjoy the sunshine while watching the family that she loved enjoy the home that she and Dewey created together.

Tina and Dewey Ray Thompson Jr were happily married for 33 years, he survives her. Surviving are her children: Leonard Blair Jr., Amanda "Mandy" (Nick) Mowery, Tara (Garrett) Curless, Dewey (Mollie) Thompson, and Dylan (Starr) Thompson. Surviving are Mawmaw's Grandbabies: Blake, Declan, Griffey, Grace, Dewey Jack, Sadie, Jacob, Kaiden, and Gabrielle. Surviving is her father, Haroldene Vires. Tina is also survived by many siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly. Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Faith Hunsberger.

Family and friends may gather to honor Tina's life at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561). The visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 5 ^th , 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday, April 6 ^th , 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am. The funeral ceremony for her beautiful soul will be on April 6 ^th , 2023 at 11:00am with gravesite burial to follow.
