Tommie Lee "Catbird" Carr, age 66, of Elkhart passed away on December 21, 2016 at 9:30AM in Golden Living Center, Elkhart, IN. He was born June 13, 1950 to James and Minnie Lee (Williams) Carr, Sr. in Duncan, MS. Mr. Carr worked Goshen Rubber Company and Accra Pak prior to his retirement. Tommie enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. Tommie is survived by his step-children, Latavia Renako Thomas and Gavarria "Bio" Greer; seven sisters, Sarah (Jessie) Jackson, Betty (Charlie) Sanders, Victoria (Bill) Bowen, Minnie B. (Mario) Romero, Susie M. Carr, Christine Jackson all of Elkhart, and Bessie M. Carr of San Diego, CA; five brothers, James Carr Jr., Alonzo Carr, Eugene (Lisa) Carr, David (Melissa) Carr all of Elkhart, and Michael (Cynthia) Carr of Killeen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha McCain. There are no services planned at this time.
