Tonia Lee Lawson, 56, died on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Millers Merry Manor, New Carlisle, Indiana.  Tonia was born July 23, 1966 in South Bend, Indiana. The daughter of Shirley Plummer Jewell (step-dad William Jewell) and her father Robert Leroy Lawson, Sr. Proceeded in death by father Robert Leroy Lawson, Sr., niece, Rebecca Lawson, Grandmother Irene Bell Plummer and Step-brother William "Buddy" Jewell. Tonia is survived by her son, Brandon Lawson (Courtney Burns), Olivia Horton (John Johnson), Christian Lawson (Cassie Stewart). Precious grandchildren; Gavin, Avery, Wyatt, Warrior, Memphis, Alex, Blake and Dexter. Sister Michelle Lawson-Fairfield (Richard Fairfield) Brother Robert Lawson (Tish Gearhart) Step-sister Kristal Pyle  Step-brother David Jewell (Caroline Jewell)

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 18 ^th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 Mckinley Highway, Osceola, IN 56561.Visitation 8-10:30 am Memorial Service at 10:30 Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Reception will be held by son Brandon Lawson and Courtney Burns at the American Legion Post 308, 122 Lincolnway West, Osceola, IN 46561. The family suggests donations to chapel Hill Memorial to assist with funeral expenses and/or Dunes Hospice, 4511 Evans Ave., Valparaiso, IN 46383.

Tonia was a very loving and caring person to all. Always kind to everyone she met. Tonia deeply loved her children with every cell in her body. Her grandchildren were the twinkle in her eyes, and she was so proud of all of them.  She loved her family, and they were always priority to her. Tonia fought a lengthy battle with brain tumors and cancer. She endured radiation and chemo, in addition to 5 brain surgeries. She endured 3 strokes. She fought with bravery, tenacity and with strength that many could never imagine. Tonia had the strength of a lion and the most beautiful heart you've ever seen. Tonia was a wonderful mother, grandmother, treasured sister, and faithful daughter. A friend to everyone. A true friend to Jackie and Mandie, as they were to her, to the very end of her life.
