Elkhart – Gertrude "Trudie" E. Jacobs, age 86, of Elkhart passed away at her home with her loving family beside her on Saturday September 7, 2024.

Trudie was born April 29, 1938, in Tama, Iowa to the late Darlo O. and Della A. (Crabtree) Flowers.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Art Flowers, and a brother-in-law Mike Kvidera.

Trudie met Bud Jacobs 71 years ago in Toledo, IA. Trudie and Bud Jacobs were married on July 3rd, 1955, in Toledo, IA  69 years ago. Trudie and Jacob moved to Indiana in 1962. She enjoyed teaching ceramics, bowling, gardening, and flowers.

Trudie is survived by her loving husband, Harold, "Bud" G. Jacobs of the home; six children including, Glenn (Sandra Yoder) Jacobs, Jamey (Erica) Jacobs, Jerry Jacobs, Robin Casselman, Darla (Robert) Miller, and Jackie (Robert) Daily, all of Elkhart, IN. She had numerous grandchildren and Step grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and numerous great, great grandchildren; a sister, Darla Kvidera of Illinois, and a sister-in-law's, June Flowers of Sedalia, Missouri.

Services will be private at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
