SOUTH BEND - Vaughn Benson 23, went to be with his Savior after a long illness. Vaughn was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and a child of God. He was so alive with God and his Holy Spirit. Vaughn knew exactly where he was going when he left this place, Vaughn was going home. Vaughn was a member of River Valley Church and he considered this his second home. He volunteered at the church with the SOS project and child care. Vaughn was baptized along with his parents in August of 2008 this was very meaningful to him. Vaughn graduated with the class of 2010 from Mishawaka High School and then attended I.U.S.B and then Indiana Tech. He was an avid Green Bay Packers, Lakers, Chicago Cubs and Nascar fan. He loved playing video games especially fantasy football and playing on his computer. Vaughn is survived by his parents Victor Sr. and Pamela Benson, siblings Victoria, Brandon (Tasha), Victor Jr."Bubba"(Danyell), Vincent, Bruce and Lillian. He loved each and everyone of his caregivers; the doctors, nurses, and staff treated him like he was family but the family would like to give a special thanks to his private nurse "Amazing" Grace for the outstanding care she provided. There will be a memorial service at River Valley Church 55855 Bittersweet Rd. Mishawaka IN. 46545 at 1:00pm Sunday June 21, 2015
