GOSHEN-Velda J Kreider, 91 passed away at Courtyard Healthcare Center Sunday morning. She was born to Roy and Odra Pixley in Elkhart, Indiana February 27, 1924. Velda spent her entire life in the Goshen/Elkhart area. She had worked for the Bayer Corporation as a production worker throughout her life. She was a member of the Eastern Starlight Chapter and also a member of the Moose Lodge 599 of Elkhart. Velda was an avid traveler and had visited places such as Germany, Hawaii and Florida along with taking several Caribbean cruises. Velda loved to play pinochle and other card games with friends. She is survived by sons, Randall(Joy) Kreider, Jon(Marina) Kreider and a daughter, Sheila(Kreider) Beery and nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan and Connie, three brothers and one sister and her parents. As per her family''s request, there will be no formal services at this time
