Velma Marie Campbell
October 12, 1925 - September 09, 2024

The life of Velma Marie Campbell cannot be totally summed up in a story as the impact she left on everyone was much greater than that.

Velma Marie (McCormack) Campbell was born on October 12th, 1925, in Mooresville, Alabama to Ernest and Lena McCormack. Velma was married August 4, 1945, to Emmett Gaines Campbell who preceded her in death on June 30th, 1982. They went on to have 3 beautiful children, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Velma retired from the South Bend Toy Factory after 20 plus years. She loved all her family being around and watching them. She loved spending quiet afternoons working on her crossword books and watching the Price is Right. She enjoyed cooking from scratch, (especially, her famous biscuits and gravy up into her 90's), gardening, canning, and crocheting.  She was the cornerstone of her family. She was always there to listen or help when needed. On the other side of that she would tell it like it was whether you wanted to hear it or not, but always did it with love. She loved babysitting her grandkids and even the neighbor kids. She was a friend to all that had the pleasure to know her. There simply are not enough words to describe how much she meant to all who knew her.

Velma was proceeded in death by her brothers and sisters: George, Charles, David, Bobby, Dorothy, Florance and Kathrine.

Velma is survived by her children: Ginger (Mike) Tucker, Paul Campbell, and Terry Campbell.

Grandchildren: Joshua (Julie) Campbell, Stephanie (Jay) Sickerott, Mikey (Sarah) Tucker, Michelle (Matthew) Calentine, Jennifer (Charles) Nelson, Paul Campbell II.

Great Grandchildren: Dylan Balentine, Ethan Campbell, EmmaLynn Balentine, Chase Tucker, Sadie Sickerott, Kaden Campbell, Faith Clark, and Brooklynn Clark.

Great Great Grandsons: Zion Balentine, Milo Campbell, and Ja'marre Balentine.
