OSCEOLA - Vickie S. Wyatt, 71, of Osceola, passed away on Sunday, February 4 ^th surrounded by family at home after a courageous 5-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Vickie was born on February 11, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Herman C. and Joella (Moss) Adams. Vickie is survived by her husband James Wyatt; son Jeffrey (Janet) Wyatt of White Pigeon, MI; daughter Kimberly Dutterer of Silver Spring, MD; and grandson Matthew Wyatt of White Pigeon. Other grandchildren include Christin Collett, Brittany Donnelly, Jay Walz, Jesse Walz, James Cannon and Lucas Aumack (great-grandson). Also surviving are her brothers Mike (Karen) Adams of Mishawaka and Glenn (Lil) Adams of Osceola, and sister Melba Mulder of Muskegon, MI, along with nieces and nephews. Vickie served her community for over 31 years as an Emergency Room nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka. She was devoted to her family and religion, a fan of craft making, an excellent cook, and a gifted cake decorator. She was a member of East Gate Church in Mishawaka.The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Goshen Center for Cancer Care and the nursing staff at Center for Hospice, South Bend. Mom, you will forever and always be in our thoughts and hearts. You showed us what it means to be a fighter. We love you. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola. Funeral services will be on Friday, February 9th at 10 am at the funeral home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
