Virgil Ward Jr.

Virgil Ward, 96 of South Bend, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 01, 2024. He is survived by his son Kenneth (Lynda) Ward; daughter Tina (Tom) Sinkiewicz; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil & Bessie (Grissom) Ward Sr.; His beloved wife Alvena Ward; his son Darrell Ward, a great grandson Zaelyn; a sister Donna King; and brothers Carl & Robert Ward.

Virgil loyally worked for Tucker Freight Lines for 36 ½ years. He was a talented and well-respected musician and vocalist in numerous Country and Western bands in the area.  His passion was the Pedal Steel Guitar. He also loved and rode motorcycles for years.

Visitation for Virgil will be held on Monday, April 08, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, Indiana 46561. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm.
