Virginia M. Nettro, 86, of Elkhart died Saturday January 31, 2015 in Greenleaf Living Center. The Elkhart native was born May 11, 1928 to Russell & Marguerite (Stover) Schenk. She retired from the Elkhart branch of the U.S. Post Office, having had the distinction of being the first female employee. She also worked at Meijer and Whitehall Pharmaceutical. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Virginia is survived by her sons, Michael (Felicia) Nettro of Bristol & John (Sue) Nettro of Elkhart; daughter, Sue Ann Nettro of Elkhart; brother, George (Ellen) Schenk of Las Vegas; sisters, Norma (Kenny) Belschner of Elkhart, Ellen Kreisher of White Pigeon MI; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Funeral Services 10:00 Tuesday February 3, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call from 9-10am in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
