Wilma Jean Easton, 88, of Mishawaka, joined the love of her life for Valentines Day at 11:42 am, Thursday, February 13, 2014 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Jean was born on March 7, 1925, the daughter of the late Warren and Corda (Fiddler) Hillebrand. On April 19, 1942, in Jasonville, IN, she married LaVerne Easton. He passed away on November 18, 2013 after 71 years of marriage. Jean is survived by two daughters, Verna Jean (H. Ray) Davis of Granger and Lisa Michele Easton of Mesa, AZ; one granddaughter, Lori Davis and two great grandchildren, Cody and TJ Owsianowski. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Michael Gale Easton, two sisters, Bernita Walters and Arley Boles and a brother, Donald Hillebrand. Jean''s greatest attribute was caring for others and putting their needs before hers. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love of reading fueled her desire to learn more and make life better around her. She enjoyed all aspects of the outdoors, especially flower and vegetable gardens. Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 17, 2014 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
